Personal

Household and entities

In short. Personal Settings Household: invite by email. One-way: they can open your book, you cannot open theirs unless they invite you back. They need their own Weltee login. They can edit holdings on your book. Only you invite or remove people. Entities name buckets on one book (Individual, Joint, Trust, LLC). Assign Entity when you add or edit a holding, debt, or income. Dashboard By entity and All assets filter. Not a second login and not a legal filing. Demo: Jane Doe and Alex Doe, mutual invite, Alex has a full UK book, The Doe Family Trust and Doe Holdings LLC tagged.

Two different controls live in Personal Settings.

Household invite

Invite by email. They sign in with Google using that address. That is their own Weltee login, not a purchase of a second house.

Access is one way.

  • You invite them: they can open your book from the Personal accounts switcher in the top bar.
  • You cannot open their book unless they invite you back.
  • A member can add and edit holdings and entities on the book they were invited into.
  • Only the owner of a book can invite or remove people on that book.

The switcher sits on the left of the top bar, the same select as the fund and company switcher. It reads You and the other person's name.

Entities

An entity is a named bucket on one book: you, joint, a trust, an LLC. It is a label. It is not a second login, a tax filing, or a legal trust.

  1. Settings → Entities → name and type → Add entity.
  2. On Add asset, Add liability, or Add income, set Entity.
  3. Dashboard By entity and All assets then split those rows. View holdings opens the register filtered to that bucket.
  4. Delete an entity and its rows become unassigned. The holdings stay.

A holding with no entity belongs to you directly.

Sample

The Personal demo is Jane Doe. Alex Doe has a full separate UK book (cash, listed stocks, ISA, SIPP, London home, a Leeds rental, salary). Each invited the other, so the switcher shows both. Jane's holdings are tagged Jane Doe, Joint, The Doe Family Trust, and Doe Holdings LLC.
