The book is the tactic that outlives the tab
In short. A written household ledger is the tactic that makes goal orientation, compounding, and defaults usable. IRS Publication 552: good records identify income, expenses, and basis, and help a survivor. IRS Publication 551: keep basis until the limitations period expires. Weltee Personal is that book: holdings, liabilities, tax, documents, and the LP line that moves when Capital publishes. The assistant explains the numbers already on the seat. You decide.
Motive without a page is a speech. A slope you cannot see is a rumour. A default you cannot name is a pension letter in a drawer. The tactics above only become a fortune when they sit on one sheet, dated, in one currency.
That sheet is Weltee Personal. Holdings, liabilities, tax, the plan, the vault. Composure, not software for its own sake.
The Service, without perfume
IRS Publication 552, Recordkeeping for Individuals, is written for the living taxpayer and is equally a letter to the next person. Good records identify sources of income, keep track of expenses, and keep track of the basis of property. Copies help a survivor or the executor of an estate. You may forget an expense unless you record it when it occurs. Memory does not satisfy an examiner. Memory will not satisfy a morning when the figure must be exact.
IRS Publication 551, Basis of Assets, opens cleanly. Basis is the amount of your investment in property for tax purposes. You must keep accurate records of every item that affects basis. Property files travel with the asset, not with the tax season. That is what the vault is for.
What you do on the page
Keep the holding, the disposal, and the document beside each other. When a fund on Weltee Capital publishes a quarter, the linked LP position moves that evening. When a founder on Weltee Startup locks actuals, Friday's pack can land without a retype. The assistant explains the numbers already on the seat, in any language. You decide. Nothing is sold.
